Boruto Chapter 31 – Monsters!
Summary
Mikio Ikemoto and Ukyou Kodachi will have to introduce a very powerful god or a very smart ninja if they want us to believe that Naruto can be defeated in battle. Delta isn’t a god and he doesn’t seem like a very smart ninja. That’s why I knew Naruto was about to act when she could hurt him. I loved seeing her lull Delta into a false sense of security to share valuable information. You can’t hurt Naruto unless he wants to! Ha!
I think this is a problem that the current manga team continues to face in the Boruto manga and anime series. Any threat presented in Boruto doesn’t seem serious because you know Naruto or Sasuke can handle it. The same seems to be happening with the Kara organization. Even though Delta’s entire body is made of ninja science tools and is able to absorb ninjutsu, you know that Naruto can take her out in an instant if the writing team doesn’t intentionally upset him.
There were a few times where you could see the writing team hinting that Delta could be as strong as Naruto in terms of physical strength, but again you know that doesn’t make any sense. The Naruto clone was able to fight the limbo Madara clone. Delta is nothing and I can see the fanbase getting pretty pissed off when Naruto loses to Delta for plot convenience.
The only way I can see Delta continuing to give Naruto a hard time is if she keeps the battle in the Hidden Leaf Village to stop him from using his very destructive powers because he doesn’t want to hurt everyone around him.
